Our Bodacious Biscuit Love Weekly Recap For July 24th - July 30th

I'll be the first to admit we were so glad that we baked biscuit love the day after our yard sale last weekend. Despite our best attempts at planning our backyard anniversary party and making sure everything was done well before the guests arrived, things didn't go as planned. You know who was responsible for that? Mother Nature and a tick.

Mother Nature couldn't make up her mind about an approaching Nor'Easter towards the end of this week. On Tuesday, we moved the party from Friday to Saturday because the forecast said a washout on Friday followed by a gorgeous day on Saturday. From Tuesday on, the forecast changed at least 342 times.

Welcome to New England, right?

All of that was a blessing in disguise. Friday ended up being sunny and hot. Saturday was overcast and cool with no rain. This brings us to stress factor number two. Lisa was diagnosed with Lyme Disease on Wednesday. It's her second time in a year that she's been bitten by a tick. On the head. About an inch away from last year's bite.

One of the medications she's on makes her hypersensitive to the sunlight and heat. If we had the party on Friday, as planned, she would have been miserable. The overcast and unseasonably cool weather on Saturday was perfect.

It was a great evening. We hired Jonny Debit as our live entertainment and he rocked! What a performance! The evening ended with a backyard pit fire. The last of our guests didn't' leave until after 1 a.m. Shortly after, Lisa and I crashed. We were beyond exhausted.

I was up early this morning and I had every intention of baking biscuits. However, every muscle in my body hurts and we are both worn out. It'll take a couple of hours to clean up and get everything back in order inside and outside. After that, we're going to rest. On the sofa. With our fur-kids. Lots of snuggle time.

I'll bake biscuit love tomorrow...
