Our Bodacious Biscuit Love Weekly Recap For May 29th - June 4th

This year is flying by! It's already June! In a couple more weeks it'll officially be the start of the Summer season. Mother Nature has already given us a taste of Summer with the first heat wave of the year. It was brutal. Our air conditioners were running pretty much around the clock. About halfway through the heat wave, we made a decision.

To back up a bit, since the launch of Bodacious Biscuit Love in October of 2013, we have baked biscuits every week. That hasn't changed. What's going to change is the days we bake. Due to work schedules, DIY Dog Mom Projects, and everything between, we pick a day to do all of the baking and we stick to it. It's usually on Monday, Wednesday or Sunday. It takes an entire day, at least 8 hours, to bake enough biscuits for our display, an order that comes trickling in, and to have enough on hand for dog parents in need.

After baking during the recent heat wave, we decided that our baking day is going to revolve around the Summer weather. Even with both air conditioners on, having the oven on 375 for 9 hours was too much. It was hot and stuffy. Going forward, we will not be baking biscuits if the outside temperature exceeds 90+ degrees.

Aside from that, it's been a busy week. I'm still trying to catch up on stuff after we spent a month getting ready for the Annual Spring Festival and Craft Show. It was our first non-pet event and it was also the first event located in the town we live in. We have a lot of DIY Dog Mom Projects still available including leash/pup apparel holders, bone shaped decorative pillows, wooden wall decor, doggy toy boxes, bandannas, and Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts. In the weeks ahead we'll be posting these items for sale.

In other news, on Friday, we had a small celebration at our home for Lisa to celebrate her recent promotion. She's been with her company for almost 15 years. After taking the year-long manager in training course, she applied for one of the Assistant Department Manager positions. Earlier in the week, they told her she got the position. We were very excited. Lisa is a hard worker, committed, and she has years of experience in the management field. She earned this promotion and we're very proud of her.

To keep up on what's happening in our Bodacious Dog Mom Life, here are the columns I published over the past week!
