Our highlight this week was celebrating Sophie's 3 Year Gotcha Day! Three years. Wow. We remember the day we took her home as if it was yesterday. On that particular day, we ventured to one of our favorite locations to deliver biscuit love. This location is well over an hour away. While visiting and handing out biscuit love, Lisa picked Sophie up. They both gave me the look of, "Please...." The ACO said, "Take her home. She's been here for over a year. Give it a try. If it doesn't work out, I can pick her up at the event you'll be at next week."

Originally, our biscuit love baking day was going to be at the beginning of the week, but Mother Nature had other plans. She doled out the second heat wave of this year. Baking was delayed until the heat wave lifted. I baked today. It's still only Spring. If this is any indication of what the Summer season will be like, it's going to be rough on the baking end of things. However, no need to fret. We've got this.

Last weekend, we witnessed a miracle of sorts. We had a pit fire in the back yard. A few neighbor friends joined us. One of our neighbor friends has been going through a rough time. Her husband has been sick for about a year. His liver and kidneys are failing. He needs a double transplant. He's on the list.

This year is flying by! It's already June! In a couple more weeks it'll officially be the start of the Summer season. Mother Nature has already given us a taste of Summer with the first heat wave of the year. It was brutal. Our air conditioners were running pretty much around the clock. About halfway through the heat wave, we made a decision.
