I Left A Little Wiggle Room. That Has Been Our Saving Grace.
So, this is where we are now. The items in the photo is just a mere portion of the wood DIY Dog Mom Projects that we're making for the Annual Spring Festival and Craft Show. I'd like to say we're on schedule, but we've fallen a little behind. Mother Nature had a lot to do with that. We've had unseasonably cool temperatures. Rain. Humidity. You know what that means?
The paint isn't drying as quick.
It's much too cold to turn on the A/C's, but it's not cold enough to turn the space heaters on. It's too humid to put the fans in the windows or have the A/C on fan mode.
On the other end of the stick, it's stuffy in here so I've had to at least open the windows.
What that all translates to is the air is humid and it's taking almost double the time for the paint to dry.
Despite the minor setback and frustrations, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
And, it's not an oncoming freight train.
Mother Nature is supposed to give us a break from the rain and humidity. A little sunshine. A little breeze.
That will help us out a lot.
Our new goal is to have everything completed by the end of this coming week.
The original plan was for today.
Thankfully, when I mapped out out plans to get everything done before the event, I left a little wiggle room.
That wiggle room will be our saving grace.
We need to have everything done by next weekend and the kitchen prepped to bake biscuits.
We've got this. Still.
