We Have A Little Over 2 Weeks To Prepare For This Event...Yikes!
Last week, we published a post about the Annual Spring Festival and Craft Show that we'll be participating in on May 20th. We've been invited to do this event for the past 2 years, but we declined. It's not a pet event. However, after much discussion and at the last minute, we said yes. That wasn't an easy decision for us because aside from our biscuits, we had nothing else to offer. No DIY Dog Mom Project back stock. No Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts. Nothing.
It would take a small miracle to make a bunch of handcrafted dog themed items to offer at this event. We don't have much time, but we are determined.
This week, I'm working on several Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts. My goal is to finish 5 to display and sell at the craft show.
In the meantime, while I'm working on the quilts, Lisa is sawing and sanding wood in the backyard so I can make DIY doggy leash and apparel holders and dog themed wall decor. We may even throw in a couple of DIY doggy toy boxes.
The next few weeks are going to be super busy, but I'm confident that we can do this.
We need to do this.
As of now, we only have our biscuits displayed in 1 location.
In the weeks ahead, we're hoping to have more displays in locations close by.
And, because we chose to share our Bodacious Biscuit Love Peanut Butter Dog Treat Recipe last year, the amount of people requesting our biscuits has drastically gone down.
We are okay with that. We are more than thrilled that people are making these biscuits for their pups rather than buy store bought biscuits.
More than ever, and we're into our 4th year, we are running out of pocket.
Again, that's okay.
But, it would definitely help to earn some money to assist with the cost of ingredients, supplies, and to cover the shipping costs of our Bodacious Biscuit Love Care Packages.
We fork out almost $10 to ship a single care package to someone here in Connecticut.
We don't ask for money.
Instead, we like to make really cool DIY Dog Mom Projects and Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts to sell in order to bulk up our funds.
That's exactly what we're going to do.
We have a little over 2 weeks to prepare for this event and that includes baking biscuit love and completing DIY Dog Mom Projects and Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts.
We can do this.
We've got this...
