It's been almost a week since our last post. As I type this, my head is bowed a little bit with shame. I don't like to go this long without posting anything. There is very seldom a great excuse. On the Bodacious home front, biscuit love has been baked, I created a new, homemade dog treat recipe, and Project Biscuit Love Room began early this morning and, about 6 hours later, was complete. However, a few unexpected things happened this week and in order to maintain my sanity and not fall into the depths of sleep deprivation, I opted to sleep instead of blog.

In the process of catching up this week, we offered 2 gorgeous Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts up for grabs. I originally wanted to use lighter shades of fabric because it's officially Spring. However, I was drawn to the fabric I used for the patchwork squares. To lighten things up a bit, I added some soft yellow solid and print applique squares.

Last week was a difficult week for so many reasons. I even went so far as to publish a post about it on the Our Bodacious Dog Mom Life blog. Nothing particular happened that was earth shattering. It was just a challenging week loaded with sleep deprivation, nothing going as planned, Mother Nature doling out a blizzard, and later than usual work hours. Despite all, we got through it, baked biscuit love before the blizzard, and managed to send out a couple of Bodacious Quilt and Care Packages.

As most of you know, on March 2nd, our family got a lil' bigger. Sweet Willa joined our family and, despite her being in heat, it's been an incredible experience for all of us. Willa has bonded with her siblings and she's an absolute love.

The other day, I finally got around to publishing a post about the Crock Pot Pup meals we make for our fur-kids. A lot of people reached out asking for "the recipe." I don't really have a recipe. I usually just add a few pounds of lean protein, sweet potatoes, veggies, and a few pup friendly herbs. I cook on high for about 4-5 hours.

With most of Connecticut, including our area, under a blizzard warning today, I wasn't sure if we'd have power once the storm was over. That's why I spent 8 hours baking biscuit love yesterday. This morning, I whipped up a lil' "hooman" cookie love.

A few days ago, we made our first "girly" quilt. Today, we had another Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilt "first." This time around, it had nothing to do with the color. It had everything to do with the size. Yep, we made our first extra large quilt. It measured in at 42 inches wide and 56 inches long. And, it was purely by accident.

So far, all of the Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilts have been made with colors suitable for both male and female pups. We've done that on purpose. We didn't want to exclude any pups. However, a few people from our Bodacious Community and beyond have asked for "girly" quilts. At that point, we knew that our selection of colors, both prints and solids, needed to expand. A lot.

Yesterday was officially our Catch Up Day. We got a little behind towards the end of the week because of a new addition to our family. Even though everything is going incredibly well, and Willa has settled in, it's been exhausting and a little crazy around here. To be expected.

The past couple of days have been beyond crazy, busy. We have a new addition to our family and because of that, my sleep schedule has changed a bit. I've fallen behind on a few things, but my goal is to catch up on everything in the next 24 hours. I've officially declared tomorrow as Catch Up Day. Earlier today, I got started on my lengthy to-do list. At the top was creating a new homemade dog treat recipe. This week's inspiration was our new fur-kid, Willa.

I do the best I can to plan out my schedule for the week on Sunday. Most of the time, it doesn't go as planned. That's been the case for over 3 years now. It's nothing new. Occasionally, like this morning, I get up an hour or two earlier. Sure, that means only getting 2-3 hours of sleep, but that's also nothing new. By 9 this morning, I had biscuit love baking. Between mixing, rolling, cutting, and baking, I caught up on work stuff and managed to design the 2nd Bodacious Patchwork Doggy Quilt. I was making progress. Getting caught up. Then...
