There's Room For Improvising. Wiggle Room.

We love it when people try their hand at making our homemade Bodacious Dog Treat Recipes. I know I've mentioned this many times before. And, I'll probably say it again, and again, and again. The excitement of seeing these photos will never fade.

The most recent came from our friends, Martha and Brian. They've been a part of our Bodacious Community for a few years and we absolutely adore them.

Martha was inspired by our recent Cranberry Crumble Valentine's Day Sandwich Cookies recipe. As quoted by Martha...

"After I finished up from the bath-time shenanigans with Brian and the girls, I finished my FIRST project that got interrupted: Valentine's Day cookies for the fur babies! With inspiration from our dear friends Lisa and Lisa, I mixed up a batch of their Valentine's Day cranberry cookies. But I was lacking in some of my ingredients, so instead of dried cranberries I used fresh.

Then when it came to the filling (in my case frosting - because I did not make sandwich cookies.) I had to modify that as well since there were no white chips to be had in the pantry. Instead I used butterscotch chips which I diluted out with a little almond milk!

The cookies came together nicely with the festive tri-colored sprinkles, and the girls finally got a taste after they waited anxiously for me to finish frosting and decorating.

It's safe to say all three of them gave the two-paws-up seal of approval on these goodies!!!"

I also want to mention that Martha is a master in the kitchen. Not only does she make "hooman" fare that makes me drool, she also, like us, makes her fur-kid's meals from scratch. Over the past year, Martha and I have exchanged photos and ideas.

We've inspired each other.

This is one of the many things I love about making homemade treats and meals for our fur-kids. The recipes don't always have to be exact.

There's room for improvising.

Wiggle room.

Just look at those incredible Valentine's Day cookies Martha made!

She kinda sorta followed the recipe based on the ingredients she had.

Her final product looks incredibly delicious!

Her babies loved 'em.

That's the beauty of it.

Thank you for inspiring us!

We'd love to hear from YOU! If you've made any of our homemade dog treats, or made your own, or you make homemade meals for your fur-kids, send us photos and stories! Send us a private message on our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook page or email at
