Our First Handcrafted Leash/Pup Apparel Holder Was Offered Today
Last summer, we made a DIY Doggy Platform bed. We had a lengthy piece of lumber left over. It was sitting in our biscuit room for the longest time. I refused to part with it. I knew eventually I'd be inspired enough to use it for something. That moment happened a few weeks ago. I was sitting at the kitchen table fixated on our current leash holder we purchased a couple of years ago. The slab of wood was identical. It was cut down to size. Stained. Heavy duty letter decals were used to personalize it. Three hooks. A mini mason jar treat holder was attached.
That's when it happened.
I measured the piece of lumber that had been sitting in the biscuit room for months. There was enough to make 2 leash/pup apparel holders. I had Lisa cut the piece of lumber in half. Once that was done, I gave both pieces a good sanding.
I didn't want to go down the route of a simple paint job and applying decals. I wanted to make each one unique.
That's exactly what happened.
Today, one of the leash/pup apparel holders was offered as our 2nd item up for grabs for the Bodacious 7 Days Of Love. And, we included a bag of our homemade mixed heart and bone shaped biscuits.
This leash/pup apparel holder was cut down to size, sanded, painted, distressed for a rustic look, hand painted with freehand lettering and details, and coated with a protective gloss. We attached 3 hooks on the front and 2 brackets on the back for hanging.
Shortly after posting, Tammy grabbed this item! Congratulations and thank you!
We'll be posting our next item tomorrow so stay tuned!
