The First Homemade Dog Treat Recipe Of 2017 Was A Success. Now, We Just Need A Name.
On Wednesday, we created our first homemade dog treat recipe of 2017. There was a bit of a challenge. After examining the contents of our baking cupboards, I discovered there was very little to work with. I almost walked away. Shortly after, I realized walking away would only defeat the entire purpose of our ongoing mission to inspire pup parents to make their own pup treats. An hour later, I had fresh baked dog treats on the cooling racks.
At the time, I had 2 dilemmas.
The first, I didn't know if the biscuits were going to harden after spending 36-48 hours in our biscuit room. Instead of using dehydrated carrots, I used fresh. That makes a huge difference when baking homemade dog treats because of the moisture content.
The second, I wanted to come up with a creative name for these biscuits.
That goes for any homemade dog treats that we create.
When posting our recipe on various social media streams, it doesn't seem fitting to use "peanut butter carrot oat biscuits" as the actual name for this biscuit.
I prefer something creative and catchy.
As of today, 1 out of 2 dilemmas have been solved.
The biscuits hardened. They provide the same soft crunch as our original Bodacious Biscuit Love Peanut Butter Dog Treats.
Now, we just need a creative name for these biscuits.
