Thank You Again, Pam, For Sharing Your Dog Treat Photos With Us!
Have I mentioned how much we love it when people reach out to let us know they've made one of our homemade dog treat recipes? Yesterday, Pam E., did it again! She made our Bodacious Apple Pie Dog Treats and they came out gorgeous. Thank you, Pam for sharing with us!
I'd also like to mention that Pam said she used only a 1/2 cup of water and had to add about 1/2 cup more flour. She used juicy Granny Smith apples.
We used Gala. They weren't juicy.
With any of our recipes, the water (or milk) and flour amounts are not etched in granite. Often times, when I make homemade treats for our fur-kids, I always add extra grated carrots or bananas. By doing this, once the dough is mixed, I have to add a little more flour. Or, sometimes, for whatever reason, the dough is a little too tight and more water is needed.
Whatever the case may be, if more water or flour is needed, add a tiny bit at a time until you get a great ball of dough that's not too dry or sticky.
