Thank You, Laura And Star, For The Awesome Biscuit Cutters
Over the past few years, we've received quite a few donations. Pet food. Treats. Packing supplies. Ingredients. Blankets. Towels. Baskets. The list goes on and on and on. We are beyond grateful for each and every donation. They've bulked up on what we've been able to donate to our local animal shelters in need and helped to eliminate some of the out of pockets costs on what we spend per week on ingredients, supplies, and shipping.
Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.
Once in a great while, someone donates cookie cutters. To most, that may not seem like a big deal, but to us, it's a BIG DEAL.
There's obviously no shortage of cookie cutters out there. The amount of shapes, sizes, and everything between, available is practically endless.
The shape of the cookie cutter doesn't necessarily produce a distinct, accurate, and usable finished product.
For example, last year we purchased a candy cane cookie cutter. I 'bout near did cartwheels out of the store. The year prior, I had searched high and low for a candy cane shape.
With all cookie cutters we purchase, or the ones donated, we test 'em out. We want to make sure the shape is identifiable, sturdy, and can hold up once bagged and packaged.
My excitement over the candy cane cookie cutter came to a quick halt after viewing the final product. We got a good chuckle over the tray of candy cane shaped doggy biscuits. Needless to say, this is not one of the holiday shapes we currently offer.
Last week, a dear member of our Bodacious Community, and her sweet pup Star, donated some cookie cutters. Upon examining each one, I got very excited. I knew instantly they'd work.
Today, while baking biscuit love for the upcoming week, we used the cookie cutters from Laura and Star.
Thank you SO much!
