Since early last week, our Bodacious Country Crackle Holiday Ornaments have been available to order. The response has been incredible. Yesterday, I spent the entire day baking ornaments. Shortly before dinner, the final count was 103. Not all of them are spoken for, but I wanted to have extras on hand.
Making the dough, rolling, cutting, and baking is the easy part. Painting the ornaments is the next step. After that, I paint the adorable snowmen. That alone is a lengthy process as each feature on the snowman needs a little drying time before I can move onto the next. Once the snowmen are finished, I personalize the ornaments, also hand painted, date 'em, and finish with a coat of glaze...one side at a time.
These ornaments are very time consuming.
It'll take 3 - 4 days to complete the orders we have so far.
I'm excited to be making these ornaments. It's a little weird to be painting snowmen in October, but it's all good.
The money raised from our Bodacious Country Crackle Holiday Ornaments will help to keep our Bodacious Biscuit Love Bin stocked for pet parents in need.
That makes it all worth it.
