Thank You For Another Bodacious Year

At this time, last year, Lisa and I were preparing for a Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale to commemorate the 2 year anniversary of Bodacious Biscuit Love. It was over the top. Several rooms in our home were packed solid with yard sale items. We were baking biscuits. The day before our event, we spent most of the day baking cookies, breads, and whoopie pies. And, we were making sure everything was ready to go.

The year before that, we had a similar event to celebrate our 1st year.

Today is the 3 year anniversary of Bodacious Biscuit Love. You know what we did to celebrate? Lisa and I sat at the kitchen table and put 2 coats of paint on almost 100 Bodacious Country Crackle Holiday Ornaments. Lisa sipped her iced coffee. I sipped a glass or two of wine.

For most of the afternoon, while painting, we reminisced. The months before Bodacious Biscuit Love. The inspiration behind it all. Getting our biscuit dough just right. The fundraisers we've done and the events we've participated in. The many local shelters we've visited and spent time at. The 2 fur-kids we adopted since the launch of Bodacious Biscuit Love.

We talked about the good stuff, the not so good stuff and everything between. We discussed the growing pains. The "you live, you learn" moments. All of that had been put on the table months ago when we decided to make some changes.

The topic of Our Bodacious Dog Mom Life blog came up. That was a project I worked on for almost a year before making public over the summer. In addition to a behind-the-scenes-peek into our life as Dog Moms, we offer our own recipes for homemade dog treats, DIY Dog Mom Projects, Human and Pup Friendly Recipes, and, in the weeks and months ahead, there will be more. Eventually, we'll be making some of our DIY Dog Mom Projects to sell.

Of course, we talked about the changes we've made and are continuing to make. We're shifting things around a bit and focusing more on our own community and pet parents who are in need. We've already spread biscuit love to a couple of needy families in our area. And, we've already started the process of filling our Bodacious Biscuit Love Bin with pet food and supplies.

The highlight of all conversations this afternoon was the topic of our Bodacious Community and how grateful we are for the continued support. Some of our Bodacious Community has been around for most of the 3 years. Some are new. Regardless, we appreciate all of you.

There will always be growing pains. Lessons learned. Trials and errors. Bodacious Biscuit Love will continue to evolve. However, there are two things that won't change. The first, is how thankful we are to have our Bodacious Community. None of what we do would be possible without each and every one of you. We are grateful beyond words.

The second is our belief that "great things are done by a series of small things brought together." Bodacious Biscuit Love isn't just about what Lisa and I do. It's about all of us and the efforts put forth within our Bodacious Community.

Thank you to all of you who have made the past 3 years incredible! We're looking forward to many more years of spreading the biscuit love!
