A Bodacious Paint Fume High And Headache
On the overnight, I managed to get two coats of paint on most of our soon-to-be Bodacious Biscuit Love Bin. Today I painted the inside and bottom. However, the second coat will have to wait until this evening. I'm making a mental note to never stick your head in a large wood bin, for any length of time, while painting without proper ventilation.
Paint fume high and headache. And I'm now craving fried clam strips and baklava. Coincidence? I think not.
To better understand this dilemma, let me explain our in-home, what we call, jet stream. If we put a fan in the kitchen window blowing out and open the home office window (and bedroom), it creates a jet stream within our home. Fresh air circulates throughout our home.
I use this jet stream when cooking stinky foods like onions, seafood, or hard boiled eggs. I also use it for when I have dork moments and burn popcorn. It eliminates these unwanted odors within minutes.
On the overnight, I used the jet stream to eliminate the paint fumes.
Today, when applying the first coat to the inside and bottom of our soon-to-be Bodacious Biscuit Love bin, I didn't have the jet stream going. It was hot outside. I had the air conditioners running.
Big. Huge. Mistake.
The paint fumes made my head all fuzzy and I got a headache.
I took some Advil.
Painting will resume on the overnight.
Sigh.
