Biscuits For Bernice

Today we're launching a Biscuits For Bernice fundraiser. This sweet senior girl was dumped in Bethlehem mid November and never claimed. She is currently residing at the Bethlehem pound waiting for her fur-ever home.

We've Decided To Continue This Trend Indefinitely

During the month of December, we decided to feature holiday pups. Your photos. Your pup/s. The replies were overwhelming. This made us happy. We loved seeing all the photos and spotlighting the pups as our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook page profile picture. This inspired us. A lot.

Not Your Average Merry Christmas Or Happy Holiday Greeting

Originally, I was going post a festive, and somewhat generic, Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday post earlier today. After a hectic few weeks, Lisa and I decided to unplug for a couple of days while celebrating Christmas. At home. With our fur-kids. However, it's late evening. Lisa and the fur-kids are sleeping soundly. I'm up. Fresh cup of coffee poured. Relaxed. On the sofa.

A Special Visit With The Griswold Pound Pups

Yesterday afternoon we spread holiday biscuit love to the sweet pups at the Griswold, Connecticut pound. The 3 pups residing there, Caroline, Lady & Anya, gobbled their biscuits with gusto. I will admit, I was exhausted and frumpy. I had spent the day making "hooman" Christmas goodies while Lisa was at work. Two of the goodies involved dipping Christmas cookie balls in chocolate and carefully placing decorative sprinkles on top.

We Get A Lil' Teary Eyed When Reading Messages From Our Bodacious Community

We receive quite a few messages. We have no shame in admitting a lot of 'em get us teary eyed. Like today. We received a message from Rebecca accompanied with this photo of her beautiful family....husband (who volunteers at the shelter), daughter and a rescue pup (Rosie) they adopted a short while ago from the Humane Society.

We Are There!

After an exhausting week of baking, we are THERE! I spent the entire morning bagging biscuits. Boxing. Stuffing Christmas stockings. Today through Wednesday we're spreading holiday biscuit love to the shelter pups. Shipping. Delivering. Biscuits. Toys. Beds. THIS makes it all worth it. The first batch is heading out later this afternoon.

It's Saturday And We're Still Baking...

The month of December has been non-stop. Baking. Baking. Baking. We've got lots of holiday biscuit love for the sweet shelter babies, our Bodacious Community and beyond. At some point, we have to say, this is it. We have enough. The biscuits need time to cool, dry and rest. This takes about 24 hours. Then, we package, box, stuff Christmas stockings, ship and deliver. That's what we'll be doing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Over 2,500 Biscuits Baked And We're Not Done Yet

After 3 days of almost non-stop baking, our biscuit room is filled with approximately 2,500 biscuits. Today, we're taking a break from mixing, rolling, cutting and baking. It's time to package these scrumptious gems. Our Christmas stockings for the sweet shelter babies are ready to be filled. We'll be shipping and delivering these starting tomorrow through next Wednesday.

The Next Couple Of Weeks...

Sweet baby Colt

It's finally here. The busiest 2 weeks of the year for us. We'll be baking biscuits 'bout near around the clock, making deliveries to local animal shelters, shipping to the local shelters that are too far away and putting together bags and bundles for our Bodacious Community. It's nonstop. Crazy. Hectic. Exhausting. We love it! Our goal is to spread as much Holiday Biscuit Love to the sweet pound pups as we can. There's one tiny catch...

We're Featuring Holiday Pups For The Month Of December

Sweet baby Jangi

A week or so ago we published a post about bodacious stuff that's going to be happening in 2016. One thing we mentioned is updating our profile picture more often with photos of pups from our Bodacious Community and various local animal shelters. The pups deserve the spotlight. Shortly after publishing, we thought, "Why wait until 2016?" We've seen endless amounts of holiday pup photos posted on Facebook. Total. Cuteness. Overload. We love it!

Year Two At Whiskers In Wonderland

Earlier today we were at Whiskers in Wonderland and, like last year, we had a blast. Lots of people showed up to shop vendors, write letters to Santa, have pet and "hooman" photos taken with Santa, take their chances at the raffle table, etc. Lots of money was raised for the Autumn's Fund which is used to treat the sick and injured animals over at the Ledyard Pound. All in all, Whiskers in Wonderland is a great cause and a chance to spend the afternoon with awesome pups and "hoomans..."

After 30 Hours Of Baking...

This is what 30 hours of baking looks like. The picture doesn't do justice. The trays of biscuits are piled high. Today we'll be breaking out the card table for extra trays. We've got a lot of holiday biscuit love for the sweet shelter pups that'll be shipped and delivered this month. Bake! Bake! Bake!
