We want to wish all the pups and "hoomans" out there a Bodacious Halloween! While you're out and about enjoying the festivities, or if you're staying home to enjoy the evening, please keep the pups safe. They depend on you.

Back in February, when we adopted Lobo, we received a Pet Pillow made by the talented Ledyard CHAIN Inc Crafters. All 3 of our fur-kids LOVE the Pet Pillow. It's their favorite go-to place to stretch out, nap, chew on their bones, etc. And for Lobo, who is a special needs pup, it has provided much relief and comfort. The decision was made. We needed more! That's exactly what happened last week. Two. More. Pet. Pillows.

We donate quite a few Bodacious Raffle Baskets for fundraising events. These events help raise money for our local animal shelters and local rescue organizations. The money is used to purchase much needed items, cover medical expenses, etc. We are always happy to assist with these efforts. That's one of the things we do. And, we love it.

Another exhausting day. It started early. I had to swizzle a few dozen biscuits. Then, package biscuits for our displays and the sweet pound pups. And, I baked "hooman" cookies. Boxes were packed, sealed and addressed. Baskets filled. And, a lil' something for a very special lady in our Bodacious Community. Typical Wednesday.

Prior to our Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale on Saturday, I kept thinking, "Why don't we take the following week off." I had the same trail of thought prior to our summer Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale. Last year, same thing. This marked our 4th time hosting a yard and bake sale. I had the exact thought prior to each one. Let's take the following week off.

I had every intention of updating our blog site yesterday...the day after our Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale. However, two things happened. The first, we were whipped. Beyond exhausted. I honestly don't know how we would have done it without the help of some rather incredible "hoomans." Despite the help, we crashed at around 9 p.m. Saturday night.

The biscuit room. The living room. The home office. Cluttered. Boxes and boxes and boxes filled with yard sale items. The counters are almost entirely covered with bake sale items baked earlier today. Pumpkin bread. Apple bread. Mini pumpkin and apple cakes. Chocolate chip cookies. Pumpkin whoopie pies. Our table is set for breakfast to feed a few friends who will be assisting with setup first thing in the morning. They'll be enjoying coffee, juice and an assortment of homemade quick breads.

I've spent the past hour contemplating how to begin this blog post. I paced. Washed a few dishes. Straightened up the living room. Picked up the chew bones and toys left on the floor from the fur-kids. I folded their blankets. Made a cup of coffee. Ate a handful of Skittles. Went through my notes and lists o' stuff to do.

Today, we're on the final day of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises. We are honored to feature this amazing rescue pup, Angel. We remember when she was rescued about a year and a half ago. Her story is remarkable. The family who rescued her are amazing "hoomans" with big hearts. We absolutely adore them.

It's day 29 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! This month has gone by quickly! In a few short days, we'll be celebrating TWO years of spreading the biscuit love. However, right here, right now, today...we're extending a whole bunch o' love & gratitude to Kim.

It's that time of year! Halloween is right around the corner. Costumes. Candy. Decorations. Haunted houses. Halloween festivities. It's one of our favorite times of year. We've got costumes for the fur-kids. We all have a pumpkin. They enjoy pumpkin shaped biscuits. This will be Lobo's first Halloween with us. I'm sure this is his first costume...compliments of his Auntie Meglyn.

Don't forget...THIS is happening on Saturday! Where did the time go? Wasn't it just yesterday we were trying to pin down a day to have this event? Yesterday we took inventory and it's official. We've got a TON (no, we didn't weigh it...) of yard sale stuff...collectibles, toys, home decor, kids clothes, books, and more! We want to get rid of everything so no reasonable offer will be refused. We'll also have a bake sale table and our homemade dog biscuits. AND, we've got bundles of cornstalks too!

It's hard to believe we're already day 26 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises. Today, and always, we're thankful for all the wonderful people we've met in our Bodacious Community. Whether it's been at events, at our Bodacious yard & Bake Sales, while out and about or, like today, a visit at our home...we enjoy every moment.

Today we made the tip to the Wolcott Dog Pound. It's the second time we've done a biscuit love run to this location (we usually ship biscuits to them) and, like the first, it was awesome! ACO Roslyn and ACO Dana rock the house and it's always a fun time...great conversation, visiting with the pups and a few laughs.

It's day 24 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! Today, we want to give a heartfelt thank you to all the staff & volunteers at our local animal shelters who take time out of their busy day to meet with us when we do our Biscuit Love Runs. We know your schedules are super busy and, often times, unpredictable.
Wednesday, October 7, 2015
We've got some biscuit love heading out the door this afternoon INCLUDING 3 more Bodacious Fall Pails and a delivery to the Ledyard Pound pups. There's more going out tomorrow and, on Friday, we're heading to Wolcott for a biscuit love run and to deliver 2 Bodacious Raffle Baskets to benefit our local animal shelters! We love weeks like this!

For the first time in Bodacious Biscuit Love history, TWO people guessed the exact amount of biscuits! Congratulations to Jessica Mary and Andrea Carpenter- Trout! There were 132 biscuits, all different shapes and sizes, in our 1 gallon Bodacious Treat Jar.
Saturday, October 3, 2015
It's day 19, and soon to be 20, of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! Like with last weekend, we're combining TWO days. Yes...another contest!
Friday, October 2, 2015
It's day 18 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! Here we have THE Bodacious Bag. As y'all know we're having our Autumn Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale on October 17th from 9-4. While our goal is to raise funds for our Holiday Biscuit Love for the shelter pups, it's also to celebrate 2 years of spreading the biscuit love. Which means...we'd LOVE to see everyone there!
Thursday, October 1, 2015
It's day 17 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! And, it's also October 1st...one of our favorite months! Tonight we reached into our seasonal totes and grabbed a few Bodacious Fall Pails. It's that time of year. Yesssssss!
