Sometimes A Photo Gets Us A Lil' Teary Eyed
Over the past almost-two-years, we've shipped and personally delivered lots of biscuit love to our local animal shelters. During our visits, we get to visit with some of the sweet pound pups and spread the biscuit love. Oh, those wagging tails! On occasion, we travel to locations further away. We do our best to schedule a biscuit love run once a month. Whether it's a nearby local shelter or one over an hour away, we take lots of photos and, before leaving, we stock the shelter with biscuits.
We always post a few photos from our visits on our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook page. This is our way of showing our Bodacious Community what they're a part of. What they're doing. What they're contributing to. Great things are done by a series of small things brought together. Spreading the biscuit love stems from the joint efforts of many. Photos are a great way to capture the result of these efforts and continued support.
Once in a while, we come across a "biscuit love photo" that we didn't take. This happened last week while I was skimming through my news feed. I do this quite a bit throughout the day and evening to keep updated on our local animal shelter happenings, new pups, urgent need for a Bodacious Fundraiser, rescue group and animal shelter events, etc. I spotted this photo taken by someone at the Hartford Animal Shelter. This was the location of our last biscuit love run just a couple of weeks ago.
I have no shame in admitting I got a little choked up...maybe even a lil' teary eyed. The awesome Hartford ACO, Sherry, was feeding an urgent pup our biscuits. A photo speaks a thousand words. When we see photos such as this one, it motivates us to push ourselves to bake more biscuits, reach out to more shelters, more pups and work harder than we already do. It also floods us with gratitude for our incredible Bodacious Community. Without y'all, we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
On a side note...this sweet pup was adopted!! We love happy endings!
