We're already half-way through our Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises...day 16! We've got lots of biscuit love going out today INCLUDING dozens of full size fall shaped biscuits to stock our sample jars with (not shown in photo...we're still packaging) for our Bodacious Community to treat their pups too.

It's day 14 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! As most of you know, we have Bodacious Biscuit Love displays in 3 locations. All Friends Animal Hospital, LLC. Plainfield Veterinary Hospital. Grimms Furry Tails. We provide a Bodacious Sample Jar in each location and it's filled with pieces of biscuits for staff to share with the pups and our Bodacious Community to treat their pups to.

Yesterday, our focus was Fall cleaning. We usually have this completed weeks before the official Fall season begins. Not this year. Nope. Days ago we realized we had no plans this weekend. No place to go. No events. No biscuit love runs. That doesn't happen often. We declared it our Bodacious Fall Cleaning Weekend.

Yesterday we had the honor of whipping up a Bodacious Raffle Basket for a Tigger House fundraising event. A few weeks ago, one of the members reached out to us about possibly donating one. She included information about the group and, after reading, I was in awe. This is the first time we've been asked to donate a Bodacious Raffle Basket and biscuits to a group involved with military dogs. It. Was. An. Honor.

We've mentioned our Autumn Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale a few times over the past month or so. It's happening on October 17th from 9-4 and we're super excited! While a majority of stuff is in order and organized, we're keeping our fingers and toes crossed for good weather. Last year, most of the day was a mix of sun and clouds. However, Mother Nature doled out about a half hour of rain.

It's day 10 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! Today we're giving thanks to...the fur-kids! We originally had something else planned for today, however, while sipping coffee and scrolling through my news feed, THIS photo of Jeff Taylor and his handsome boy, Clyde, caught my attention. A photo speaks a thousand words. This photo is powerful. It captures a beautiful moment shared between "hooman" and pup. And, it represents the bond we all have with our fur-kids.

It's day 9 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! We're a little late posting it today. What a BUSY day...baking biscuits, packaging, whipping up some "hooman" cookies, spreading the biscuit love AND delivering a Bodacious Thank You Basket to Valerie...the owner of BuggyBee Designs in Ledyard, Connecticut.

Today, we're giving a shout out and many thanks to Char and her husband, Bob. They're our neighbors who, over the past few years, have become family to us. And, we're proud Aunties to their fur-kids...Dusty, Lucy and Cheyenne.

It's day 7 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! Today...we're giving lots of Bodacious Hugs & Love to Teresa Chirico and her sister, Tammy. Teresa reached out to us over a year ago for biscuits. Last October, at our Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale, Teresa Chirico and Tammy made the over-one-hour trip to visit with us. We recognized them immediately and wow...to meet this incredible and beautiful duo in person was nothing short of amazing.

It's day 6 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises. Today, we're giving YOU a chance to give a shout out to your favorite local Connecticut animal rescue group. Leave a reply with your favorite rescue group on our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook page and tell us why you're choosing them. Tag the group page if ya can when you reply.

Ever have one of those days where you ended up saying, "Today went by much too quickly?" Today, that happened to us. This morning we packed the car and headed to one of our favorite locations...Bethlehem. We don't get to visit as often as we'd like as this location is almost 2 hours west of us.

As most of you know, we live in Plainfield, Connecticut. And, we happen to think our local Animal Control Officer, Karen, is AH-MAY-ZING! Over the past year, we've delivered lots of biscuit love to the Plainfield pound pups and, earlier this year, launched a successful fundraiser to purchase natural bones and peanut butter for the pups in Karen's care.

We're on day 3 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises! Today, we're giving a huge shout out to Maximus and Titan's Mom & Dad. Who are they? You may know them as the talented duo Daily Wood and Mrs. Daily Wood.

It's day 2 of our month-long Bodacious Gratitude & A Few Surprises. Today we're giving a bodacious shout out to the 3 locations who have welcomed a Bodacious Biscuit Love at their locations. I've been baking lots of "hooman" cookie love for the staff. It's a small token of our gratitude for your continued support.

Today, we're giving many thank and lots of hugs and love to this amazing family. We've known them for quite some time. You may recognize the beautiful Miss Beckett. Over the past couple of years, she's appeared on our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook page dressed in festive costumes and participated in our photo contests. In fact, Miss Beckett was a taste tester when we first started experimenting with various biscuit dough late summer of 2013.

One month from tomorrow we'll be celebrating our 2 year anniversary of spreading the biscuit love. Two years. Wow. It's been an incredible almost-two-years. Spreading biscuit love. Spending time at our local animal shelters. Fostering. Rescuing. Raising money with our Bodacious Fundraisers to purchase much needed items for our local animals shelters. Participating in events. Watching our Bodacious Community grow. Putting together Bodacious Raffle Baskets for rescue group and shelter fundraising events. The list goes on.

Okay. I broke the rules. Again. I had no intentions of breaking out our Bodacious Pumpkin Biscuit Cutter until next week. However, on the overnight, I baked a loaf of pumpkin bread for Lisa's breakfast and work snacks. I held the can of mashed pumpkin to my nose and inhaled. Over. And over. And over again. The fan was in the window. Had anyone been peeking in, they'd of thought I done and lost my mind.

How many times have I started a post with, "This week has been crazy, busy!" Lots. And lots. While this week has, in fact, been extremely busy, it's also been...weird. A good kind of weird. With Monday being a holiday, it threw my entire week off. Lisa had the day off. During a conversation that afternoon, I was going over my tentative schedule for the week ahead. I always start baking first thing Monday morning. That's how I started my rundown...

Over the past almost-two-years, we've shipped and personally delivered lots of biscuit love to our local animal shelters. During our visits, we get to visit with some of the sweet pound pups and spread the biscuit love. Oh, those wagging tails! On occasion, we travel to locations further away. We do our best to schedule a biscuit love run once a month. Whether it's a nearby local shelter or one over an hour away, we take lots of photos and, before leaving, we stock the shelter with biscuits.

'Tis the season for pumpkin everything. Is it me or does pumpkin spiced everything-under-the-sun debut earlier and earlier every year? While I am a huge fan of pumpkin, I'm not doing cartwheels down the street just yet. Not until the first official day of the fall season. And, even if I was slightly tempted, we're in the middle of a heatwave. It's almost 100 degrees outside. Humid. That's enough to curb my cravings for pumpkin, apples and anything related to the fall season.

Labor Day weekend. Really? Already? Although I'm not quite there yet...it's here. Summer is almost over. Over. Summer. Why am I having such a difficult time processing that? The leaves are beginning to turn their vibrant Autumn shades. Pumpkin spiced everything. Our neighbor friend has already decorated her yard with pumpkins and other fall decor. I've made apple crisp. The temptation to purchase pumpkins is 'bout near winning. Roasted root vegetables. Stews simmering in the crock pot. Fall scented wax melts.

It's no secret I get a lot of my work done on the overnight hours. Whether it's baking, writing columns, packaging biscuits, content management, etc. My work schedule is 'round the clock. I don't sleep for extended hours. I nap. A few hours here. One hour there. It varies from day to day. During the overnight hours, between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. when Lisa and the fur-kids are sleeping soundly, is when I get the most work done. No interruptions. Quiet. I typically save this time for writing columns.

Yesterday was like any other Monday. Well, the first hour. Get up. Take fur-kids out. Coffee. Check emails and other work related stuff. More coffee. Dishes. Prep the kitchen area for biscuit baking. More coffee. Fill flour canister. Open new jars of peanut butter. Set up Chrome Book on kitchen table. I was about 15 minutes away from mixing the first batch of biscuits. That's when I saw him.
