Our Destination Today Was The Hartford Animal Shelter

Yesterday we mentioned making a special biscuit run to a location we've been shipping biscuits to for almost a year now. A few people asked, "What is a biscuit run?" We've used that term quite a bit. Let me start off by saying it has nothing to do with running sneakers, a sports bra, or wicking performance fabric. It has everything to do with us personally delivering biscuits to locations we typically ship to because these animal shelters are further away.

We try to do a biscuit run once a month, however, at times, it's difficult due to work schedules. During the week, it's impossible to personally deliver biscuits to locations over an hour away. When Lisa schedules vacation days, we attempt to squeeze in a biscuit run to these local animal shelters. It gives us a chance to meet and greet our incredible Animal Control Officers, staff, volunteers and visit with the sweet pups. Of course, when shipping biscuits to these locations, we're not able to do that.

Today, we made a special biscuit run to the Hartford Animal Shelter to deliver lots of biscuit love, dog and cat food, a Bodacious Raffle Basket for the upcoming Kenway's Cause 3rd Annual Golf Tournament and some homemade "hooman" cookies. It was our first trip there and we were super excited to load the car and take off!

We want to thank Animal Control Officer, Sherry, for taking the time out of her busy schedule to meet with us, take out a few pups to visit and allow us to snap a few photos. Y'all rock! We will definitely be back to visit again!
