Say hello to this handsome nugget of love, French, from the New London Animal Control. He's sportin' some serious Easter cuteness and he made an announcement on our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook page. Today through Easter evening at 9 p.m. EST, he'd like to see our Facebook page flooded with Easter Bunny Pup photos!

What happens on the weekend before our Bodacious Easter Biscuit run? This! Most of the weekend was spent in the kitchen. Baking. Lots of baking. By Sunday night we had baked a little over 800 Bodacious Easter biscuits. Most of these biscuits will be delivered to local shelters on Friday, April 3rd. We've put the entire day aside to make deliveries and visit with the sweet pound pups. The excitement is brewing!

We have two doggy beds. One in the bedroom. The other in our home office. We're lookin' to get a few more to scatter around the house. We've determined that Lobo (his story is coming soon) is unable to lay on non-cushioned surfaces. He doesn't stretch out on the carpet or kitchen floor. And, he isn't able to jump on the sofa or bed. Providing comfy beds throughout the house is a must. This allows him to be near us while we're baking biscuits, playing cards, tackling work at the desk, etc.

In the hour or so before sitting down to write this, I was restless. I had no idea what I wanted to write about. This happens a lot. Writing is a process. It's easy to get distracted. I paced for a short while. Went on the porch for a few minutes. Checked on Lisa and the fur-kids who are sleeping soundly. Went through the piles of notes sitting on my desk. This alone overwhelms me. Most of what's written are things that need to be done. Paced again. Noticed a few dirty dishes in the sink and crumbs on the counter.

We adopted Coco during the Summer season. He was in poor shape and it took several months for him to make an almost full recovery. That Fall, we noticed he was scratching quite a bit and biting his lower back. He didn't have fleas. It wasn't a reaction to the medications he'd been taking or his medicated shampoo. Another trip to the vet. It didn't take long for them to diagnose the issue. Allergies. We were given an as-needed prescription. Benadryl was another option. Both worked. His symptoms disappeared. So did allergy season.

This year, Easter falls on April 5th! Gasp! In the back of my head, I knew it was right around the corner however, glancing at the calendar made it a reality. It's time to break out the Easter and Spring biscuit cutters! And...that's exactly what we did. Like with every holiday, we make a batch of biscuits using our holiday cutters. From there, we decorate accordingly, take photos and post. And, with the reality of Easter being right around the corner...yikes!

Now, Daily Wood and Christine are offering these awesome customized Leash Holders with Treat Jars! Both small ($25) and large ($35) are available. You can add more hooks and names for a small fee. And...with each order, you'll receive a small bag of our biscuits to fill the jar with!

We're addicted to cookie cutters. One of the drawers in the kitchen is filled with our most popular shapes. Under the counter, there are some stored in Tupperware bins. Seasonal shapes. Various shaped bones. Doggy themed cookie cutters. We're always adding to our collection and we like to experiment.

What a week! Busy! Busy! Busy! This past week we shipped out some surprise packages to Kenway's Cause and CT Animal House. We also included a package for a wonderful lady, Carin Tripodina, who sent a large box of biscuits, toys and other needed items to Shaggy Dog Rescue last month. Carin has several adopted rescue pups and we wanted to spread a lil' crunchy love her way!

Around the second week of January, we debuted our search for Bodacious Artisans. Both Lisa and I support local artisans and, over the past year and a half, have come across some talented people creating awesome products for pets. From pet apparel and blankets to etched wine glasses, we've been quite impressed by the craftsmanship.

Last summer we were visiting a friend. Both of her small pups were running around the yard. One of them got into the shrubs bordering her yard and came running out with a gigantic steak in her mouth. It took some coaxing, and a handful of biscuits, for her to relinquish the meat. We all exhaled. Our brains were thinking the same thing. The big "what if..." You hear it on the news and read articles about people who scatter poisoned meat in their yard, dog parks and other areas frequented by dogs and their hoomans.
