DIY Paw Print Ornaments

You've seen 'em in stores...the dough kits to make hand or paw impressions. There are all kinds and I've seen those kits run anywhere from $10 to $20...a little pricey especially if you want to make a bunch of them for gifts. How would you like to make DIY Paw Print Ornaments (or any type of impression) for just pennies?

If you've got salt and flour in your cupboard, you can make your own salt dough. I've used this recipe for salt dough in the past and it's easy to make, easy to use and bakes up well.

You can find the recipe here at Homestead & Survival. May I suggest, if you're making ornaments, that you insert a small paperclip at the top of your ornament before baking. Push it in 3/4 of the way so only the top is showing. By doing this, you'll have a place to loop your string for hanging.

Happy crafting!
