Bodacious Thanksgiving Love

'Tis the season for the "30 days of thanks" that hundreds of people take part in on Facebook. You know the drill. From November 1st through November 30th, people update their status with 1 thing they're grateful for. I'll be honest...I've never participated in this. I have mixed feelings about the 30 Days of Thanks challenge. It sort of collides with my thoughts surrounding Christmas. Why wait until December 25th (give or take a day or two) to distribute piles of gifts to friends and family? Well, why wait until the month of November to let the world know what and who you're grateful for.

Rant over.

On the flip side, I do understand why November has been deemed the month of giving thanks. As I mentioned before, my brain shifts into a contemplative state during the month of November. Lately, I've been thinking quite a bit about our furkids and how much they've changed our lives. We adopted Coco almost 2 1/2 years ago. Sophie became a part of our family back in late June. Never, in a million years, did we think Coco would accept another pup into the household. However, after 3 weeks of taking baby steps, they became inseparable.

At least once a day we find ourselves having one of those moments where we think, "What would I do without these two bundles of love." Sometimes it's when I cover them up with their favorite blanket and they look at me as if to say, "thank you" or when I sit on the sofa and they both race to see who can get on my lap the quickest. Or when I'm not feeling well and both are glued to my side. And how can we resist those times when we arrive home after being gone for a few hours and both run to us with their tails wagging. Lots. Of. Juicy. Kisses. To. Follow.

As I'm reflecting back, I realize just how many "hoomans" are out there who share a similar appreciation for their furkids. I see it everyday. Every hour. Post after post after post of people's furkids with quips about how much they're loved and why they're such an integral part of the family.

Right around that time, the light bulb went off. Why not give "hoomans" the opportunity to put their pups in the spotlight. Let's give 'em the chance to tell the world why they're grateful for their bundle of love.

So, that's exactly what we did.

Today through November 16th we're giving all the "hoomans" a chance to put their furry family member in the spotlight. All you have to do is post a photo of your pup on our Bodacious Biscuit Love Facebook Page and include why you're thankful. It can be shorty or lengthy. Funny or sweet. Whatever it is you feel like sharing.

Or, you can send the photo and write up to our email and we'll be more than happy to post it for you.

Everyone who posts or submits a photo will have their name put in a bag. For 3 days (November 17, 18 and 19) we're going to draw a name. If your name is drawn, you'll get a $10 Bodacious Biscuit Love gift certificate. Let's. Do. This.

Bodacious Thanksgiving Love is open to everyone in the U.S.
