I wrapped my frilly apron around my waist at about 10 this morning. Time. To. Bake. Typically, on Sundays, I don't start baking until the evening hours and I go straight through the overnight. However, we've got a lot of biscuit love going out this week. So there I was. Mixing. Rolling. Baking. My coffee cup was smeared with peanut butter oil within a half hour.

I mentioned earlier that our Bodacious Holiday Biscuits would be available the first week of December however, we've already had orders and lots of inquiries. So...we broke out our holiday cookie cutters a week early and put together a few options for gift giving. And...they're available NOW through December 21st!

Yesterday was hectic. Beyond busy. And. The. Kitchen. Was. Cluttered. I have a deep aversion for clutter. For the past few days our new Bodacious display shelf, that we're moving to All Friends Animal Hospital, has been in the kitchen. Lisa had painted it over the weekend. In addition we're behind on transitioning our wardrobe from summer to winter. One of the large clothes totes has been sitting on the kitchen floor. There's more to follow, but I need to unload the winter clothes from this tote and repack it with summer stuff.

We've had a lot of people ask when our holiday biscuits will be available. Originally, we were going to debut our holiday packages the first week of December. However, this week we're putting some sample packages together, taking photos and they'll be debuting on Friday, November 28th!! Yayy! We are so excited about our Bodacious Holiday Biscuits!

Years ago I was a dedicated Christmas aficionado. I dove into anything and everything related to Christmas with gusto. My preparation began the first week of November. It had to. There was the outside to decorate with hundreds of lights, lawn ornaments and inflatables. Decorating the inside of my home took days. I strung lights on the doorways and staircase. Mini Christmas trees decorated various rooms inside the house. The main tree was stood 8 feet tall and took up half of the living room. And on the floor, and every flat surface available, was some sort of moving figurine or Christmas scene.

You've seen 'em in stores...the dough kits to make hand or paw impressions. There are all kinds and I've seen those kits run anywhere from $10 to $20...a little pricey especially if you want to make a bunch of them for gifts. How would you like to make DIY Paw Print Ornaments (or any type of impression) for just pennies?

Thursday started out like any other day. I fell asleep at 5 in the morning, got up a few hours later, coffee, get comfy at my desk, glanced over the bazillion multi-colored Post-it notes scattered on my desk and I started tackling the "Today's To Do" list. Busy day. Every hour was planned out. I was behind on a few things, had some work stuff to get done, and I needed to bake biscuits. I began my day with gusto. Then...something happened. I saw THIS sweet baby on my news feed.

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 1/2 weeks away? A day to give thanks, gather with friends and family and enjoy turkey, all the fixings, endless amounts of pie and maybe...an adult beverage or two. Food! Food! Food! And...the LOOK! If you're a parent to fur kids, you know that look all too well.

We launched our Bags for Biscuits fundraiser on October 2nd. We put the word out there that we'd be collecting food donations (preferably grain free) for the Bethlehem Shelter dogs. Anyone who donated food, wet or dry, would receive a complimentary bag of biscuits. In addition, we were selling jumbo bags of biscuits in festive fall containers for $10. This fundraiser ran through October 18th...the day of our Bodacious Yard & Bake Sale. People stopped by with a few donations of food and other goodies for the sweet Bethlehem pups during our event.

'Tis the season for the "30 days of thanks" that hundreds of people take part in on Facebook. You know the drill. From November 1st through November 30th, people update their status with 1 thing they're grateful for. I'll be honest...I've never participated in this. I have mixed feelings about the 30 Days of Thanks challenge. It sort of collides with my thoughts surrounding Christmas. Why wait until December 25th (give or take a day or two) to distribute piles of gifts to friends and family? Well, why wait until the month of November to let the world know what and who you're grateful for.

A huge congratulations to Sadie and Miss Beckett! These two sweet pups are the winners of our Bodacious Costume Contest! Both winners will receive a gift package filled with our scrumptious biscuits and some fresh made "hooman" chocolate chip cookies!
