Earlier this evening, after doing a little housework, showering and finally enjoying a little down time with Lisa and our furkids, I took a glance at my calendar and realized it was nearing the end of August. I had come across subtle reminders, prior to this evening, indicating the transition from summer to fall was just around the corner. While running errands over the past week or so, we've spotted Halloween candy on the store shelves and a few Christmas (true story) items on display.

I am one of those 40-something-gals who is nothing short of grateful that I did all my stupid shit before the Internet, smartphones, and YouTube. It wasn't that I did anything that would've haunted me for the rest of my life. However, being in the social media & marketing field for almost a decade, I know how quickly a post, video or photo can spread like wildfire. Are you familiar with the term, "gone viral?" Something "gone viral" can either be a devastating event or have an incredible and productive outcome.

A week ago we launched our Bethlehem Shelter Dogs Fundraiser and it was a huge success! We almost doubled our goal. This time around, we offered jumbo bags of biscuits nestled in a decorative container for a $10 donation, During the first few days of our fundraiser, we could barely keep up. Towards the end, we almost doubled our goal.

Over the weekend I was lazily scrolling through my news feed. I came across THIS. Scrolled a little more. Then it hit. Wait! I scrolled back up for a second look. That biscuit looks familiar! So does that cupcake and background. Who? What? Where? Huh?

A couple of days ago we launched another little fundraiser for the Bethlehem shelter dogs. Before I dive into the details of this one, let me shed a little light on a few misconceptions about shelters and pounds. In the past, people have asked general questions about donating items and why so many shelters ask for public donations. People are curious. The questions are legit. Many moons ago, I was in the dark as well.
