A Huge Thank You To Our Bodacious Community

Late last week we put together four fundraiser bundles with the hopes of reaching a goal of $110. Early this week, we reached our goal! We can't even begin to tell you how excited we were. With the combined efforts of people making a donation for a bundle, spreading the word, sharing our statuses, etc...we did it. And when I say "we" I'm referring to every single person who stepped forth to assist with this.

Once we reached our goal, it was time to get down and savvy. There were quite a few things on the list of items needed at NECCOG and we wanted to stretch the almighty dollar as far as we could. After comparing prices and flipping through sale papers, we routed out shopping excursion. This is something we do often as we're always searching for the lowest prices on ingredients and supplies. If there is a sale on flour, we're there! When there's a coupon for any of the ingredients on our list, we use it!

After 4 stores and 2 days, we had completed all of our shopping. We purchased large bags of Purina Kitchen Chow, large cans of Friskies cat food and Pedigree dog food, washcloths, hand sanitizer, 2 big packs of paper towels, over a dozen rawhide bones, hard chewies, 10 bottles of Spic & Span, laundry soap and fabric softener. That's a lot!! There may have been a high five or two after we unloaded everything for a photo.

Earlier today, we made the trip to NECCOG to deliver the goods. ACO, Rita, was kind enough to pose for a picture with 2 of the sweet shelter pups. Rita is phenomenal and all that she does for this shelter and the animals is beyond words.
