A Little Friday Night Fun

Every so often, we're asked, "Do you ever get out?" or "What do y'all do for fun?" I'm a little reluctant to answer. Define out. Define fun. What's fun to the person standing next to me might not entice us in the least. Going out for some people might involve a 12 hour excursion while, for us, it averages about 3-4 hours and that depends on what we're doing for fun.

For those inquiring, yes, we get out. Most of the time it's to make deliveries or to spend an afternoon venturing out for a biscuit run. In our book, that's fun. Between work life and Bodacious Biscuit Love, we have very little time to do anything aside from that. We are definitely not your go-to people for an exciting impromptu adventure story.

On occasion when we shut the oven off and take a break from the norm, in some way, shape, or form, sweet pups are always involved. Biscuits too. Isn't that what usually happens? You gravitate towards people and places that embrace common ground? If we were to attend an event that didn't involve a pup or ten, we'd be forced to interact entirely with "hoomans." Where's the fun in that? Thankfully, our little handful of friends are animals lovers as well.

Tonight, we managed to escape the confines of the kitchen to get out and have a little fun. We had biscuits and "hooman" cookies in tow. There wasn't a single moment when we didn't have a pup on our lap giving us "the look" as we enjoyed mai tais and a platter of fruit, cheese and crackers. We shared strawberries, crackers, cheese, yogurt, pizza crust and french fries with the pups. Food coma for all of us.

We left shortly before 9. It was just enough time to get our fill of good food, drinks, friends, conversation, laughs and tentative plans for another night of fun. Some of us were tired. Biscuits needed baking. We had pups at home that needed us. Life.

Hands down, by the end of the night, we were all in good spirits as we ventured our separate ways. A fabulous night. More to come.
