You Had One Job...

Are you familiar with the "You Had One Job" memes? If not, it's a collective assortment of photos depicting the results of dorked out moments from mislabeled products, misspellings, etc. Our case of Skippy Natural Peanut Butter in the bottom half of a Jif case would be a perfect candidate for one of these memes.

There's a story behind this...

We are at the point of having to purchase our peanut butter by the case. There's a lot of peanut butter in our biscuits. Venturing out to the store several times a week to purchase 2 or 3 jars isn't the best method of time management. More than once we've run out at 2 in the morning. We're fairly certain, in the weeks ahead, we'll have to add other ingredients to our "purchase by the case" list. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Last week we ordered a case of Skippy Natural from a local mass merchandiser. So far, they have the lowest price on this item. This is probably why their stock is always low or completely out. After ordering a case, we left a number to call when it arrived. We were told it would be a couple of days. No problem. There was enough on hand at the house to get us through.

A week passed and no call. We called yesterday to inquire about our order. It was there and had been for a few days. After a brief excuse explanation as to why we hadn't gotten a call, the drive was made to the store. They had a case of peanut butter there. Not the one we ordered, but there was a case. Jif. Sigh.

Maybe Jif Natural would work just as well however, we've never used Jif in our biscuit dough. We ordered Skippy. Not Jif. They didn't have a case of Skippy put aside. After almost a half hour of several employees scurrying around, someones light bulb flickered, "Let's check the peanut butter aisle." Score! Sitting on the shelf were 8 jars (a case) of Skippy. Problem solved...at least for now.

On a more more positive note, so far this week, we've spread biscuit love to a total of 8 shelters. From Dayville, CT to Bethlehem, CT and a half dozen places between, there's a lot of shelter babies that will be enjoying some crunchy goodness this week! To us, that equals HAPPY!
